Alvise Favara will become Allegro’s new Chief Commercial Officer and will take up his position in January 2022. The CCO will be in charge of shaping the development strategy of the company’s commercial area, and will also take care of increasing the number of offers available on the platform.

The new CCO’s tasks will include building the experience of millions of customers and over 100,000 sellers using the platform. He will also deal with the number of brands appearing on Allegro and will aim to increase the number of offers available. Currently, Allegro customers can choose products from around 250 million offers on the platform.

Alvise Favara transfers to Allegro from Amazon’s German branch, where he was managing the consumer area and was part of the local leadership team. During his work with Amazon, his responsibilities also covered managing retail operations in Europe, including managing inventory and pricing policies, rebuilding stock, and working with suppliers. In his career, Alvise Favara was a partner at McKinsey and a lecturer at the University of Florence. He also previously worked in research positions at CERN and CalTech.

As Francois Nuyts, CEO of Allegro, points out, the experience of the new CCO will strengthen Allegro, which plans to expand internationally. Alvise Favara will support the company in its innovation and growth strategy, thanks to his understanding of the needs of modern, technological organisations.

Alvise Favara will take up his position in January 2022, replacing Aleksandra Sroka-Krzyżak, who temporarily took over as CCO. She will take charge of the strategy department and will also serve as Chief of Staff. Aleksandra Sroka-Krzyżak’s responsibilities will also include managing Allegro’s integration with Mall Group.
