40% of the plants available in Castorama are sold in recycled pots. By 2023, Castorama plans to have all plants be sold in packaging made of recycled materials.

As part of the sustainable development strategy, Castorama, subsidiary of the Kingfisher Group, declares that by 2023 all pots for plants available in the store will be made of recycled materials. Additionally, all the pallets used to support the plants will be created biodegradable materials – paper and cardboard.

This decision is motivated by the high demand for plants as well – the use of environmentally friendly materials will significantly reduce the store’s annual plastic consumption.
