CCC will close over 100 shops

In response to the changes caused by the coronavirus pandemic, the CCC Group has significantly revised its development plans. The company will not only significantly reduce new openings, but will also close 108 shops in Europe.

Six times less new CCC retail space

The closures will concern 30 shops in Poland, 45 in Switzerland, six in the Czech Republic, four in Hungary, four in Austria and one in Slovakia, CCC has informed. The chain will also close 18 Gino Rossi shops.

Additionally, CCC reduces the area of some of its outlets to 500-800 m2. In total, at the end of the third quarter of 2020, the sales area of CCC shops will increase by 9,000 m2, compared to the initial plans to increase by as much as 60,000 m2.

CCC wants to deliver products in less than an hour

Restrictions on fixed-line sales mean a very dynamic growth of sales in the online channel. The networks are outperforming in the implementation of new solutions to make online shopping as convenient as possible for the customer. CCC recently announced that it wants to deliver products ordered online in 60 minutes or less. According to the company, this is an innovation on a market scale. This solution will initially be introduced in Warsaw (tests are already underway). Ultimately, it will cover all major agglomerations in Poland.

At the end of September 2020, the CCC Group was present in 29 countries – in 22 sales are conducted in 1,053 stationary shops and in 17 through the online channel.
