From February 12, hotels in Poland will be able to resume operations, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki announced on Friday. Restaurants, however, will continue to operate in takeaway-only mode.

At present, the hotels are open only to medics and staff hotels. From 12 February, these establishments will be open to everyone, with a sanitary regime and 50% room occupancy. Meals will only be allowed to be served to rooms.

Ski slopes and swimming pools will also be able to resume operation from next Friday. Amateur sport in the open air will also be possible. Gyms, clubs and fitness centres will remain closed.

Cinemas and theatres will also resume their activities with a 50% occupancy rate. Any decisions on lifting further restrictions can be expected towards the end of the month.
