Decathlon launched a marketplace with third-party offerings on its website on 2 August. Products purchased through the marketplace will initially be shipped to customers by Decathlon’s partners, but in subsequent stages, it is planned to include its own logistics. It is the first such initiative in the sector in Poland.

Decathlon, the sports goods chain, announced on 2 August that it has launched a marketplace with third-party offerings on its website, decathlon.pl. The launch is aligned with Decathlone’s desire to further strengthen the digital channel, since it already accounts for more than 27% of the company’s annual revenue in Poland, which is in the region of PLN 2bn (€437m).

Products purchased through the marketplace will initially be shipped to customers by Decathlon’s partners, but it is planned to include its own logistics in subsequent stages. The company will also handle any returns and support promotional and marketing activities.
