Thanks to the cooperation with Moliera2, the first showroom of the luxury brand Philipp Plein with an area of approximately 200 m² will open in the second half of 2021 on Plac Trzech Krzyży in Warsaw. The project also includes online sales through the Moliera2.com online platform.

So far, Philipp Plein brand has existed on the Polish market through e-commerce, while in the second half of this year the first monobrand store of the brand will be opened in Dom Dochodowy at Plac Trzech Krzyży 3 in Warsaw. The brand records nearly €2 million in revenue through online sales in Poland.

I am really happy to announce the collaboration between Moliera 2 and Philipp Plein Group. Consolidating our brand’s retail presence in the Polish market is our strategic objective, which we have set for 2021. – says Philipp Plein.

Unstable luxury clothing market

According to data contained in the report “Clothing and footwear retail market in Poland 2020. Market analysis and development forecasts for 2020-2025”, there was a growth of 2 p.p. in the highest price segment between 2016 and 2019. This development was influenced by, among other things, greater consumer awareness or a love of luxury brands.

In 2020, the clothing and footwear market in Poland, including the luxury market, recorded a decline in value. E-commerce, which became the solution to all shopping problems during the pandemic, proved to be an insufficient argument for lovers of luxury brands. A visit to a boutique and direct contact with an advisor for this group of stakeholders is a key element of shopping and is part of the price they pay for a high-end product.
