Grzegorz Puda became the new Minister of Agriculture

Grzegorz Puda will be the new Minister of Agriculture. He will replace Jan Krzysztof Ardanowski in this position.
Grzegorz Puda is 38 years old. He holds a master’s degree in zootechnics. He received the title in 2006 at the Agricultural Academy in Cracow. In 2006, 2010 and 2014 he was a city councilor in Bielsko-Biala. In 2015, he joined the Sejm from the Bielsko-Biala district, and was re-elected in the elections of 2019.
In 2019, he was appointed Secretary of State in the Ministry of Investment and Development (current Ministry of Funds and Regional Policy). Recently, Grzegorz Puda has been made famous by the so-called Five for animals. He was the rapporteur of an MEP’s draft amendment to the act on the protection of animal rights, which assumes, among other things, a ban on the breeding of animals for fur or a restriction on ritual slaughter.
Grzegorz Puda will lead the new ministry, which will be created as a result of the merger of the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Forestry.
