The food sector is growing on the internet
According to PMR’s report “Online retail market in Poland 2020”, in 2020 the food e-market will grow by over 40% year on year. The results of our survey show that food products are among the products bought much more often in stationary stores. Men make purchases over the internet more often.
More than half of the respondents spend more than PLN 100 on one-off grocery shopping over the Internet. Although online groceries are mainly complex purchases, it should also be remembered that the internet is often a source of rare products such as coffee, tea, sweets or spirits – then we often talk about smaller purchases.
