IKEA in Great Britain and Ireland has published an advertisement on LinkedIn, looking for employees for the position of Chief Play Officer. The potential candidates are children aged 4-12 and the main requirements are creativity and love of play.
The duties of the Chief Play Officer will consist of testing toys that will appear in the 2021 online IKEA catalogue.
The work will be home-based and for the salary, the tester will be allowed to keep all toys used. When selecting candidates, Ikea puts an emphasis on creativity and imagination. A creative approach is also recommended during the application process itself – using various forms of resumes is encouraged, whether in writing or a video form.
The applications were open until 4 January 2021.
