Tomasz Waligorski has been appointed commercial director of Wasz Sklep Spar since 10 September. In the Carrefour Polska chain, Krzysztof Lagowski will lead the convenience division. Recent weeks have brought a lot of personnel changes in grocery retail chains in Poland.
Tomasz Waligorski: From TXM to Spar
Tomasz Waligorski has extensive experience in the retail sector. For nearly 17 years, until 2011, he worked for Jeronimo Martins, where he held various positions in Portugal and Poland, including Commercial Director of the Biedronka chain. In 2013-2015 he was the President of the Management Board of another food chain – POLOmarket. Later he worked for Eurocash orz TXM Group (operator of Textilmarket chain).
In the company, your Sklep Spar will be responsible for purchasing and quality, Spar’s own brand, marketing, assortment and price management and e-commerce. He will also be appointed to the company’s management board.
Carrefour: Krzysztof Lagowski will replace Michal Florkiewicz
The personnel changes have also not bypassed Carrefour Poland. The convenience department will be headed by Krzysztof Lagowski. He will replace Michal Florkiewicz as head of convenience, who from September will be director of omnichannel development. For nearly 11 years of his professional career, Lagowski was associated with PKN Orlen. There, he held the position of Executive Director for retail trade and managed a network of 2,700 petrol stations. Recently, he was associated with the Deloitte consulting company.
Michal Florkiewicz has worked in Carrefour since 2011. His positions were related to convenience and franchise channels. Previously he also worked for Lidl and AmRest.
