Zabka launches sales of face masks without profit

Zabka, the convenience store chain, informed that from 15 April 2020 it started selling face masks without profit. This is the chain’s response to the obligation to cover mouth and nose in public places, introduced from 16 April 2020 onwards.

 

8 million disposable masks in Zabka shops

The Zabka chain launched the sale of 8 million disposable face masks. The price per one piece is PLN 1.62 when buying a package containing 10 pieces. Zabka claims that it sells masks without profit.

The masks are designed for adults, and each client can buy one package of masks at a time.

In addition, Zabka has donated half a million surgical masks to hospitals and provided face masks to over 4,500 of its franchisees.

Obligation to cover mouth and nose in public places

In response to the coronavirus outbreak, from 16 April 2020 onwards, an obligation to cover the mouth and nose in public places was introduced in Poland. For this purpose, disposable protective masks, cotton reusable masks or e.g. a scarf can be used.
