After a thirty-year career at Nestle – Simon Smith is retiring, stepping down as managing director. Artur Jankowski, who was previously sales director at Nestle Poland, will take over the role in 2021.

Simon Smith steps down as managing director at Nestle

After 6 years as CEO of Nestle Poland and a career spanning nearly 30 years with the Nestle Group, Simon Smith will retire early in 2021. Prior to joining Nestle, Simon Smith qualified as a Chartered Accountant and completed an MBA at Newcastle University. After joining Nestle, he dynamically developed his overseas career, in its latter years holding roles such as CEO of Nestle Adriatic, CFO of Nestle Europe and finally market head in Poland. During his time in the country, he built a highly talented management team that oversaw the transformation of the company in terms of its efficiency and employee engagement.

Artur Jankowski new CEO

Artur Jankowski assumed the position of President of the Management Board of Nestle Poland on 1 January 2021. He is a graduate of the Warsaw School of Economics, Faculty of Management and Marketing. He has been with Nestle since 2016, when he took the position of sales director. Previously, he worked at Danone Group, where he held the positions of purchasing director and sales director. In his first years at Nestle, he transformed his department into a flexible structure that adapts to market changes and is focused on sustainable development, putting into practice Nestle’s core value of respect for others.
