The DIY store chain, OBI, just like last year, does not offer fireworks for sale in Poland.
OBI says in a published information note that it will not sell fireworks for the sake of animals and the environment. A similar decision, motivated by similar considerations, was also taken by the network in 2019.
This is not the only pro-environmental action of the DIY network in recent times. In the pre-Christmas period, OBI reported that it would plant 60,000 square metres of forest in at least six different locations in Poland. This is the result of cooperation with the Las na zawsze foundation, which plants forests that are diverse and managed by nature. They cannot be cut down. They are located on land that is to be forever forest area.
DIY shops in Poland remain open and operate under a sanitary regime.
