For several years now, the perfume segment has recorded the highest growth dynamics in the cosmetics market. According to PMR estimates, the value of the perfume segment in 2018 amounted to over PLN 3.2 billion. Moreover, in subsequent years (2019-2024) this segment will grow on average by more than 4% annually. Currently, perfumes are the third category in terms of market share. Behind body care and bath products as well as face care products.
Only two large chains of perfumeries – Sephora and Douglas – currently operate on the Polish market. In 2018, the value of perfume sales in these chains accounted for nearly 18% of the total perfume market value. It is also worth noting the expansion of the Czech company iPerfumy. Until recently, it offered products only for online sales. However, in 2017, it started to open stationary stores, which also functioned as collection points. The company already has seven such points.
