Rossmann leads cosmetics retail in Poland with nearly 25% of shares

Rossmann remains undisputed market leader in cosmetic products in Poland with almost three times more market share than the next player.

Rossmann is the undisputed leader of the cosmetics retail market in Poland. The Germany-based drugstore chain, which has almost 1,400 stores in the country, accounted for 23% of sales by value in 2019, according to PMR estimates.

The number two player by sales is Biedronka, the food discounter. While it does not specialise in cosmetics, its vast store network – which topped 3,000 in 2019 – means that it generates significant revenues in the category.
