Las Vegan’s, a company owned by the Chocolate Story Chocolate Manufactory, which produces organic vegan chocolate, has successfully conducted a crowdfunding campaign. The company managed to raise almost PLN 1m.
On 24 November, Las Vegan’s brand launched a crowdfunding campaign on Crowdway portal. Potential investors could purchase the company’s shares and become its shareholders (in proportion to the number of shares purchased). The minimum investment value was PLN 99.
Five days before the planned end of the shares, the company achieved its goal by acquiring nearly one million zlotys for the development of a brand with vegan bio&eco chocolate. Finally, 390 investors invested in the company. After three years it will be possible to exit the investment by reselling shares in Manufaktura Chocolate Story, at a price taking into account the return on investment of 8% per year. The funds raised will enable, above all, the purchase of packaging machines (PLN 520,000) and promotional and marketing activities (PLN 320,000).
Las Vegan’s chocolates will be launched in Q3 2021
The potential of the project can be proved by the fact that, still during the crowdfunding campaign, the company received an offer of cooperation from retail chains with which it had not cooperated before and from a leading chain of coffee shops based on artisanal coffee. This means that the sales of Las Vegan’s products will also be carried out through independent channels. The original assumption was that the distribution will take place exclusively through the sales network of the parent company, i.e. Manufaktura Czekolady.
he sweets will be introduced to the market in several stages, and those that do not require machine packaging will appear on the market in the third quarter of the year 2021.
Las Vegan’s SA is a new project of Manufaktura Czekolady Chocolate Story, a pioneer in bean to bar production in Poland. The company was founded in 2009 and has been dynamically developing ever since, expanding both the portfolio of its own family of brands, as well as the team of Polish and foreign contractors. The company’s factory is located in Lomianki near Warsaw, with outlets located in Warsaw and Lodz.
