Selgros Cash&Carry has announced that it will not be possible to buy live carp in its stores before Christmas. This applies to all Selgros outlets in Poland. Earlier this year, the super and hypermarket chains Tesco and Auchan decided to withdraw live carp from the offer.
Food chains withdraw live carps from sale
In October we wrote that the Auchan hyper- and supermarket chain had decided to completely withdraw the live carp from its offer. Previously, Tesco had announced that it had decided to do so. In November, it was announced that the nationwide wholesale chain Selgros Cash&Carry decided that live carps would no longer be available in any of its stores. Selgros has already partially reduced its sales of live carp last year. Live carp cannot be purchased in hypermarkets Bi1, Biedronka, Lidl or Aldi.
