Damian Zaplata leaves Allegro and joins eobuwie.pl

On 27 August, Chief Commercial Officer and Member of the Allegro Board of Directors Damian Zaplata resigned with immediate effect. His duties will be temporarily taken over by Aleksandra Sroka-Krzyzak, who currently serves the function of Chief of Staff / Head of Strategy. On 31 August, Damian Zaplata was appointed to the supervisory board of eobuwie.pl, and on 1 September was delegated to act as the president of the management board of the company.

Damian Zaplata has already announced his plans for eobuwie.pl

– We will continue the company’s dynamic growth strategy and invest in its international development. We will focus on extending and making the offer more attractive to our clients, including through the development of the MODIVO brand. Our priority is also to strengthen the resources and technology team, and to develop fast and cost-effective logistics, which are the most important links in e-commerce. Later this year, we are launching a logistics center in Bucharest, says the company’s president.

Damian Zaplata joined the Allegro team in Autumn of 2017. Previously, he worked as the president of First Data Polska (owner of the Polcard brand), and was also a partner at McKinsey & Company. The newly-appointed president of eobuwie.pl had graduated from Europa Universitaet Viadrina in Germany, as well as MBA studies at INSEAD in France and Singapore. He has worked both on the Polish and on foreign markets, including in Switzerland, Germany, Croatia and the Middle East.
