Farmer Direct and Deli2 begin their cooperation

Farmer Direct, the owner of the Lokalny Rolnik platform, which sells food produced by small farms, and Deli2 SA, the owner of the deli2.pl online store, signed a letter of intent developing a potential model of cooperation.

The Deli2 platform combines deli, bakeries, wine bars, manufactures and organic food stores. Its offer includes products of over 30 brands, both from Poland and abroad. It is also the only platform in Poland that sells traditional Polish dishes from the famous restaurateur Adam Gessler.

Deli2.pl’s orders are currently carried out in Warsaw, Łódź and their surrounding areas, covering a total of 50 towns. By 2024, the company plans to reach 10 million customers. The offer of the Local Farmer platform includes products from the following categories: meat, cold cuts, fish, dairy products, vegetables, bakery, confectionery, ready meals, pantry, and drinks.

The letter of intent binds both parties until December 15, 2022. Given the similar core business of Deli2 SA and Farmer Direct, the companies do not exclude the possibility of merging the entities. Deli2 SA also informs that it is possible further cooperation with Farmer Direct Sp. z o.o. may have a potential impact on the future value of Deli2’s assets. The estimated value of the e-grocery market in 2019 is USD 192 billion, and its growth is expected to be 25%. annually.
